the champion we need for district 6

I am the proud mother of two sons, Daylin and Chauncey, and a grandmother to Edin, the most friendly and talkative three-year old on this side of heaven. I have been fighting for our kids as a school board member for East Baton Rouge Schools, and I am asking you to stand with me to fight for our families as your next Metro-Council representative for District 6.

I am a two-time graduate of Southern University with a Bachelors of English Liberal Arts and a Masters of Public Administration. Also, I am currently attending Southern University’s Law Center with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2022.

I love being an elected member of East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and achieving wins for students, families and teachers.  Yet, believe it or not, this is not the first office I wanted to serve in. The first office I ever wanted to run for was Metro-Council.  I had looked around at changes in our community and felt strongly convicted that we could be better.

I did not run at that time because Metro-Council District 6 was well represented.  However, that representative is term limited. With the same passion I have for our students, I now stand ready to serve as the next council member for the families and businesses of Metro-Council District 6.
